Recently I won an Umi Super from a giveaway Coolicool hold on Facebook. Even from the very beginning, only by reading the hardware configuration, could see the Umi Super is a quite strong mobile, specially for its price – 199.99$! From what I can see you can find it either from China or from their EU warehouse.

Package and Design
The mobile came in a bubble package, very well protected. Removing the protection, came across a black metallic square box, writing outside Umi Super.
The box gives a sense of luxury and that can protect very well what is inside it as it is not from paper that most companies use. When we open the box we see inside the mobile protected inside a plastic bag, a guide book, the needle needed to insert sim and the charger.
Removing the mobile from the plastic bag, the first thing that you take notice is the weight of the mobile. Having Xiaomi Note Pro that weights only 161gr, the 185gr of the Umi Super is a big difference! Other than that we see on the front side at the bottom side the notification led. The led blinks with different color according from what app the notification comes. There aren’t any physical buttons on the front side. A 5ΜΡ can be found on top side of the mobile, among with the proximity sensor. The screen display is of 5.5 inch 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Sharp Screen, with resolution 1920*1080 Pixel. The mobile has aluminum body giving a nice feeling into the hand. At the back side we can find the main camera at 13ΜΡ, with the dual flash and the fingerprint scanner just below (Microarray 4th Generation 3D Fingerprint), unlocks in 0.1-0.3s, multiple function). At the bottom part of the mobile we see printed the model of the mobile and that is manufactured in China. The gold colour gives a nice look at the back. At the bottom part we see the usb-C port. On the right side we see the usual buttons for the volume and power. On the left there is the place for the sim and a button that uses with the camera.
Function
When we activate the mobile for the very first time, we have to set it up with our Google account. In the end we will come up against the usual Android 6.0 screen.
The Umi Super is really simple, with no launcher, but on the same time very fast. First time activating, means getting the first OTA that the company made. IT will take only 2-3 min
The mobile comes with 24.7GB free space to use, but don’t forget that you can use a microSD for more space, so there is no worry. Let us have a look at some menu in the mobile to start with the test.
Diagnostic Tests (Antutu – Geekbench)
New mobile, really strong at least in the cards, since we are speaking for a mobile with 4GB Ram which help a Helio P10 MTK6755 2.0GHz Octa Core. All these must be tested! The only thing is that after making all test, saw that there is a option for balanced usage of the battery, so I guess the numbers can go higher! On Antutu reached near 49000!
Also running Geekbench test, the mobile went really good, comparing it with other well know mobiles
Battery
One strong characteristic of the mobile is the 4000mAh battery from Sony, which supports PE+ Quick Charge, 2.5A/1.67A(5V/7V/9V) 1.25A(12V). You can understand the existence of the battery from the weight of the mobile. In order to test the battery, I used Geekbech as a test program. The test started with 100% battery and I stopped it at 17%. As you can see it reached almost 7 hours ! In order to charge it back from 17% to 100% it took the mobile 1 hour and 40 min.
Camera
An other question that usually comes up is if the camera of a new mobile is good. I’m no specialist, but for me look pretty good. For those who know and want to see, I have captured 2 images, one inside, one outside and uploaded them to my Google drive, from where you can see them

Conclusion
Umi Super looks as a very good mobile. Is strong, fast. The camera looks good, at least for my standards. The battery looks really durable and can give 1-2 days of usage. Stock android is something that most users want, so its here. An OTA update was released very early. Setting the same characteristics from Umi Super, we see as familiar mobile Elephone P9000, which is thought as a very good and reliable mobile. For me, 200$ for these characteristics is a good price.
