Umidigi is a company that I know mainly from their mobiles. Recently I found out that they have started working on smartwatches and earphones. So I was very pleased when I learned that they wanted me to review their latest earphones, the Umidigi Ubeats.
Umidigi Ubeats are wireless neckband earphones. The package came to me from their AliExpress store, without having any problem with customs, despite the fact that it is a big package. Opening the package from the post, came across a big white box with the image of the Umidigi Ubeats on the one side and the specs of the earphones on the other side.
Inside the package you will find apart from the Ubeats earphones, two pair of ear-tips, a manual in English and other languages and a mini USB Type-A cable for charging the earphones. The manual included is very helpful, so don’t forget to read it before you start using the earphones.
What I liked in these earphones is the neckband design that has. IT is very good and helpful, specially if you are an athlete or you like running, jogging, etc. From what I remembered, and Xiaomi has a similar type of earphones, but Umidigi from what and company says, are better and we should choose them instead.
The Umidigi Ubeats are wireless earphones. They connect with your mobile through Bluetooth 5.0 and remain connected for up to 10 meters away. The support CNC noise reduction, in order to be able to enjoy the music you are listening or speak with the person at the other side of the line. Yes, Ubeats can be used for listening to music and answering calls. That why I told you to read the manual, as it will help you easily manage these two things.
The Umidigi Ubeats feature the Qualcomm QCC3003 Chipset for having a Bluetooth 5.0 connection. This chipset gives to the Umidigi Ubeats 2Mbps transmission speed, 20% improved connection stability and 25% reduced power consumption. It also features sensitivity 42±3dB, frequency response range of 20 to 20KHz, resistance 16Ω and supports the profiles HFP, HSP, A2DP and ARCPB.
The earphones have a magnet at their base so they will stuck to each other if you let them. The substance of the neckband is very soft and pleasant, so you wont have any problems using the earphones. As for the weight, only 33g will make you feel nothing. On the earphones you will find the power button, the vol up/down and the mic. At the side you will see the USB Type-A plug for charging the earphones. You will need about 1.5 hours to charge them and after that you can use them for 12 hours straight or have them in standby mode for 300 hours! The earphones contain a 140mAh battery.
