As scheduled, Samsung is ready to launch the Galaxy Fold 2 in August. And the community is looking forward to the latest news on this folding smartphone generation. Recently, a new render was created by xleaks7 in collaboration with Pigtou, after Samsung filed a new patent for the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
Accordingly, the render shows that the Galaxy Fold’s external screen is just a thin strip running along the body with a size of 4.6 inches. Also when opened the main screen is up to 7.3 inches in the form of a tablet. With that parameter, when closed you will almost not be able to operate on the secondary screen.
However, some previous rumors have suggested that the Galaxy Fold 2 secondary screen has a size of 6.23 inches with 819 x 2267 resolution and a 24.9: 9 aspect ratio. The spec shows that this will be a long screen, along with that, compared to the size of the first Galaxy Fold, the bezel will be significantly thinner, of course, the secondary screen will still only have a 60Hz refresh rate.
The internal display is rumored to be up to 7.7 inches instead of 7.3 inches. This monitor has a resolution of up to 1689 x 213 and a scan frequency of up to 120HZ. In addition, the ultra-thin glass technology previously applied on the Galaxy Z Flip is also used for the Galaxy Fold 2. Both the main and secondary screens use holes to accommodate the selfie camera.
Returning to the Render image, the secondary screen of the device is just like a thin strip, hard to operate directly on this screen. Accordingly, it will only be used to display the necessary parameters similar to the current Galaxy Z Flip. Another document also revealed that Galaxy Fold 2 will have a battery capacity of 4365mAh.
But maybe this is not the Galaxy Fold 2 but the previously mentioned Galaxy Fold Lite. Accordingly, Galaxy Fold Lite is said to own the old Galaxy Fold design but the main screen will not have ultra-thin glass but still use plastic film, while the external screen is minimized and only used to view notifications. So the rendered image is exactly the same as the Galaxy Fold Lite information that was leaked.
