Ready to return to action. Samsung has published a press release stating that the Galaxy Fold is already prepared again, that its problems have been resolved and that next September it will definitely launch its $2000 phone.
Samsung has published on its website a press release stating that they are ready, that its Galaxy Fold will be put back on sale next September without those failures it had during its original launch. At least, that’s what the company indicates.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold was, along with Huawei Mate X, the great promise about what the smartphones of the future would be. Devices with a folding screen that, as you decided at any time, would allow you to use it in multiple ways. For example, for a quick folded query and when you would like to better enjoy the content, several apps at once, increase productivity, etc., display the screen.
The problem is that days before its launch, the units that yielded to various media in the United States failed. And yes, some through improper use, but it was understandable that certain things happened because the brand itself did not indicate well what should or should not be done. Although leaving those details aside, the device itself had problems that indicated that it would fail sooner or later.
Now, according to Samsung, three changes have been introduced with which all this would be resolved:
- New protection caps. In the upper and lower areas, new covers have been added in the area of the hinges that reinforce the protection of the screen. In that way, the space between the hinge and Fold’s body is reduced.
- Greater protection against external particles. Another measure aimed at preventing external particles from damaging the device.
- Extended Infinity Flex Display protective layer. Now the protection layer of the folding screen is extended, it is below the structure and no longer generates the doubt of whether it is an element that can be removed or not.
With these changes, all aimed at greater protection, the Galaxy Fold would be ready to return to the market. That, at least, is what the theory says and Samsung itself after having conducted several tests after the reports of the specialized press.
