Igeekphone reported on May 8th that source Enrekcan Ilmaz posted a tweet on the X platform yesterday, revealing that the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE phone will continue to use its own Exynos chip, and it is very likely to be Exynos 2500.
The source did not specify the exact model. However, the tech media Android Authority believes that it is highly likely to use the same chip as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, which is Exynos 2500. But it is not yet clear whether Samsung will release a version with Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in addition to the Exynos chips.
Looking back at previous models, the Galaxy S25 FE was equipped with Exynos 2400, while the Galaxy S24 FE used Exynos 2400e. To control costs, the FE models typically adopt lower-end or previous-generation flagship chips. The S26 FE phone, which is released, uses Exynos 2500, which is in line with this positioning logic.

Regarding the release date, the news indicates that Samsung may introduce the Galaxy S26 FE phone at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for September, along with the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 foldable phones.

Igeekphone has checked public information and found that the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE phone has previously appeared in the GeekBench benchmark database. The single-core score of version 6.2.2 was 2426 points, and the multi-core score was 8004 points. The page indicates that the phone uses a 10-core Exynos 2500 chip and is equipped with 8GB of memory.
The Exynos 2500 chip adopts a ten-core design (1+2+5+2 combination):
1x 3.30 GHz Cortex-X925 (X5) super-core
2 x 2.74 GHz Cortex-A725 cores
5 x 2.36 GHz Cortex-A725 cores
2x 1.80 GHz Cortex-A520 low-power cores
