Samsung appears to be preparing a new generation of its compact tracking device, with fresh renders reportedly revealing the upcoming Galaxy SmartTag 3.
Tech publication SammyGuru shared the alleged renders on September 10, offering an early look at the tracker’s exterior design. The images suggest that Samsung could launch the Galaxy SmartTag 3 in two color options: black and white.
According to previously leaked retailer information, the black model is listed under model number EI-T5900BBEGUS, while the white version reportedly carries the model number EI-T5900BWEGUS.
Galaxy SmartTag 3 Could Cost $29.99
Pricing information has also surfaced ahead of the device’s official announcement. The Galaxy SmartTag 3 is reportedly expected to cost $29.99 for a single tracker. A four-pack could be offered for $99.99, giving buyers a lower per-unit price when purchasing multiple trackers.
At current exchange rates, those prices are approximately 200 yuan and 673 yuan, respectively. However, regional pricing and availability may vary when Samsung officially launches the product.
Familiar Compact Design With a Refined Look
The leaked renders indicate that Samsung is keeping the compact, rounded-square form factor associated with its SmartTag lineup while making subtle changes to the appearance.
The white Galaxy SmartTag 3 appears to feature a light-colored outer frame surrounding a circular center section. The middle area seems to have a slightly metallic appearance, with what looks like a fine brushed texture. A raised circular border visually separates the center from the surrounding frame.
The black version appears to use the same overall shape but adopts a darker finish across the exterior. Both versions have rounded corners, giving the tracker a simple design that should be easy to attach to everyday items.
What to Expect From the Galaxy SmartTag 3
Galaxy SmartTag 3 is expected to continue Samsung’s focus on helping users locate personal belongings such as keys, bags and other frequently misplaced items. However, the leaked renders mainly reveal the device’s exterior, while detailed information about its tracking technology and other hardware features has yet to be confirmed. How about Samsung’s smart device ecosystem?
Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy SmartTag 3 or confirmed the leaked renders, model numbers, pricing or specifications. More details should become available if the company announces the tracker in the coming weeks.
