Igeekphone on February 17 news, Korean media ETNews reported on the 13th local time this month that Samsung Electronics will adopt a “standard is thin” strategy on this year’s flagship “large folding” smartphone Galaxy Z Fold7, that is, it will not launch a special edition of the flagship thin and light as it did last year. Instead, focus on reducing the thickness of standard models.
Specifically, the report quoted sources as saying that Samsung has set a rough target of no more than 10mm thickness for the model, detailed data will be finalized within this month, and mass production work will start in May.
Like the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will feature a combination of an 8-inch interior screen and a 6.5-inch exterior screen. In order to achieve thin properties, Samsung will innovate the S Pen technology on the Galaxy Z Fold7, abandoning the long-used digitizer structure to save 0.3mm thickness on each side of the display panel.
