Igeekphone News, October 22nd: In addition to releasing its first XR headset today, Samsung also announced its plan to launch AI glasses soon. This South Korean tech giant has confirmed that it will launch AI-driven smart glasses in the future and is collaborating with Google and well-known fashion eyewear brands to develop such wearable devices.
Samsung said it is developing various forms of devices for its XR product line, including AI glasses. For this reason, the company has established cooperative relationships with the globally popular eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. This collaboration aims to integrate Samsung’s AI technology with fashion design to launch “eyewear products that combine style and cutting-edge fashion sense”, and provide users with an “outstanding customer experience”.
At present, Samsung has not announced the specific name of its AI glasses, but revealed that the product will be based on the Android XR system to achieve a seamless connection experience. Android XR is an operating system jointly developed by Google, Qualcomm and Samsung, deeply integrating Google’s multimodal artificial intelligence model series – Gemini.

Although Samsung’s Galaxy XR has been available for sale in some countries, the company has not disclosed the specific release time of its first AI glasses for the time being.
Igeekphone has noticed that it was previously reported that Samsung plans to launch its first AI glasses without display function in 2026 and release a version equipped with an augmented reality (AR) display in 2027. In the future, these AI glasses will directly compete with the Ray-Ban Meta glasses and Meta Ray-Ban display glasses launched by Meta in the smart wearable market.
