The Xiaomi Mi 6C can be closer than we think. Because some rumors are coming that the phone may be officially presented in this year. Not only that, because it has to be a smartphone, which will receive the original SoC of Chinese. I am talking about a processor called Surge S2, which is to be a SoC system for medium-half-eaters.
Xiaomi presented its first processor for smartphones at the end of February in 2017. Speech on the Surge S1 chip based on 28nm process technology, which came to the Mi 5C phone. The successor of this smartphone is in preparation, i.e. Mi 6C. If you believe new rumors, the smartphone is expected to debut in MWC 2018.
Xiaomi Mi 6C will be a smartphone that will also receive the original Chinese SoC. It is supposed to be a Surge S2 processor, on whose topic rumors have been circulating the network for a long time. This system will offer better performance from the S1 processor. In the network, you can find some information about this layout, but they are contradictory. It is difficult to say what exactly you can expect.
Surge S2 is to compete directly with such processors as Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 and S1 competed directly with Snapdragon 625 and provided better performance. Then it was reported that the Surge S2 uses a 16-nm process technology and you can expect 4 Cortex-A73 cores clocked at about 2.2 GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 cores operating at about 1.8 GHz. In this truth, we will probably see it in a few weeks.
Xiaomi Mi 6C will be average and rumors suggest that it will be a smartphone with a screen size 18: 9, such as Mi Mix 2. The panel is to have a 5.65 inch diagonal, and the resolution is probably Full HD + (1080 x 2160 pixels). Apparently, the smartphone is to get a glass case, but we do not know if it involves any plans to provide support for wireless battery charging. In addition, it is expected that the terminal will come with 6GB of RAM 64 or 128GB of internal storage with expandability together with a 12MP dual rear camera and a fingerprint reader that will be placed on the rear of the phone.
Xiaomi can create its own processors, but the truth is that the Chinese manufacturer will not become independent of Qualcomm in the coming years, which processors are most often found in smartphones with the Mi logo. It is true that in some models the company also uses MediaTek systems, but Snapdragon appears most often. It will not change soon. However, that the rumors are untrue and the debut of the new Xiaomi Mi 6C from Surge S2 will take place in the MWC, however. Everything will clear up over time.
