Igeekphone 12/29: Xiaomi POCO is preparing to launch the M8 series of mobile phones in India. It is positioned as a mid-range product, and all models are equipped with AMOLED screens. The appearance is not significantly different from the REDMI Note 15 series.
It is introduced that the POCO M8 5G in this series will focus on upgrading its storage specifications. It is expected to be equipped with 8GB of RAM, and the maximum storage capacity can be up to 512GB. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (Note from Igeekphone: the third-generation Snapdragon 6) processor and feature a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED screen with a resolution of FHD+, supporting 120Hz high refresh rate, meeting the needs of daily use and light gaming.
In addition, this mobile phone will be equipped with a 5520mAh battery, supporting 45W wired fast charging. It features a 50 million-pixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth-of-field lens and a 20-megapixel front camera. It adopts a dual-layer back panel design, with the rear camera module located directly above, and supports IP68 dust and water resistance.
POCO M8 Pro 5G is equipped with a more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, featuring a 6.83-inch quadruple-curved AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K, supporting 120Hz high refresh rate, and equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32-megapixel front camera. It also comes with a 6500mAh battery and the wired fast charging capacity has increased to 100W.
At the same time, this mobile phone will support IP68 dust and water resistance, optical fingerprint recognition, infrared remote control, and is equipped with a hybrid microSD card slot, which can be used to expand storage space. The Bluetooth version has been upgraded to 5.4.
In addition, both of these mobile phones will be pre-installed with Hyper OS2 system based on Android 15, and they are expected to be released in the near future.
