Xiaomi recently showcased the latest version of HyperOS 3 (known as Pengpai OS 3 in China) in advance through user research, and its interface innovation has attracted the attention of netizens.
Some media outlets have indicated that this update not only reshapes the core design language of the system but also marks a strategic upgrade for Xiaomi in building a high-end operating system.
It is reported that the interface design of Xiaomi HyperOS 3 is somewhat like the visual style of iOS 18, and both the ICONS and layouts have been deeply optimized.
The new icon set, combined with a more concise interface layout, elevates the overall experience to a new level. To reduce visual distractions, HyperOS 3 has eliminated the traditional search bar and instead strengthened the display of application ICONS and widgets.
This minimalist design conforms to the current trend of mobile UI. The battery status display interface is similar to that of iPhone, providing convenience for potential iOS users to migrate. The newly added glassy texture design enhances the system’s layering, making the interface more modern and technological.
It is speculated that Xiaomi HyperOS 3 will cover 96 devices, including 33 Xiaomi flagship models, 44 Redmi models and 19 POCO models.
Industry analysts predict that HyperOS 3 will be officially released in October 2025 and developed based on both Android 15 and 16 versions.
The system will ensure the adaptation efficiency of different devices through an intelligent distribution strategy.
The media believes that if the battery efficiency and system smoothness can be further improved, HyperOS 3 is expected to occupy a place in the highly competitive intelligent ecosystem.
