Igeekphone News July 1st: On June 28th, source Igor Bogdanov posted a tweet on the X platform, sharing a photo of DJI ROMO, showing that the robot vacuum cleaner can be paired with a base station to automatically empty garbage, clean, and fill the water tank.
The word “ROMO” can be clearly seen on the base station. Igeekphone previously reported screenshots of the Romo application, showing the internal structure of this sweeping and mopping robot, indicating that the machine is expected to be equipped with a lift-type LiDAR sensor.
According to informed sources, the reason why DJI entered the field of sweeping robots is that DJI aims to be an explorer of spatial intelligence, not only in the air but also on the ground. Although DJI has been very successful in making drones, drones are not products targeted at the general public.
Dji has accumulated years of experience in technologies such as visual and obstacle avoidance sensors, algorithms, and path planning. Dji hopes that the technologies it has accumulated can benefit more consumers and be applied to its sweeping robot products. Therefore, DJI entered the market of sweeping robots.
