The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Ulefone has recently focused primarily on the Armor series, in which the brand’s outdoor cell phones are sold. With the Ulefone Note 8P, however, a normal smartphone is coming onto the market again, which is the successor to the Ulefone Note 7 and Ulefone Note 7P. This Ulefone Note 8P budget handset supports 4G connectivity, and it’s extremely affordable, it costs well under $100.
At first glance, most people probably would not realize that we are dealing with a budget smartphone, because – at least on the graphics prepared by the manufacturer, Ulefone Note 8P looks really attractive, even if its design is not particularly original. However, everything becomes clear when we look at the list of parameters of this smartphone. It has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of only 442 × 960 pixels, which translates to ~ 192 ppi. The battery capacity, which is 2700 mAh (charging 5 W via microUSB), is also not impressive, although with this specification it should still provide satisfactory working time on a single charge. The dimension of the smartphone is 141.7 x 66.5 x 12 mm and weighs 153 grams.
The heart of the Ulefone Note 8P is already quite old, quad-core (4x ARM Cortex-A53; 28 nm) MediaTek MT6737 1.3 GHz processor with ARM Mali-T720 graphics chip. However, he should be returned to him that he offers a 4G LTE modem (with support for the B20 800 MHz band), and this is not obvious in the budget segment, especially those with a Chinese pedigree. Additionally, there are 2 GB RAM and 16 GB built-in memory onboard Note 8P, which can be expanded using a microSD card with a maximum capacity of 128 GB.
An 8-megapixel camera is included on the back of this device as its main camera, with an f/2.0 aperture 5-piece lens. A 2-megapixel secondary camera also sits on the back of the phone. HD video recording is possible here. A 5-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.2 aperture, 4-piece lens) is also included on this phone. The Ulefone Note 8P device does not offer a fingerprint scanner, but it does support facial scanning. It uses its front-facing camera for that purpose.
The Ulefone Note 8P does come with two SIM card slots, and you can use them both at the same time for 4G connectivity. The phone supports LTE-FDD: B1/3/7/8/20 4G bands. Android 10 comes pre-installed on the device, but the Go Edition of Google’s OS. This software is made for budget smartphones, and it should work well on the device. It is also worth noting that the device includes a rear-facing speaker. A microUSB port is placed at the bottom of the device, not a Type-C USB port.
Inside the retail box, you will get both a screen protector and a case for the phone. On top of that, a SIM adapter is included, along with a charging brick and a USB cable. This Ulefone Note 8P smartphone is now priced at $59 on Banggood in Flash Sale for 100 pcs Limited.
