Igeekphone reported on June 18th that Vivo X Fold6 foldable phone will be released at 19:00 on June 26th. Vivo product manager Han Baixiao today disclosed more specifications of this new device.

According to its introduction, the vivo X Fold6 has excellent cold resistance. Even in a freezer at minus 20 degrees Celsius, it can maintain stable battery life. All versions come with a 7000mAh blue ocean large battery. It is the industry’s first to adopt the fifth-generation silicon anode technology and the exclusive third-generation semi-solid battery technology for a solid backstop. The blue ocean battery management system has also been deeply optimized. In heavy-load scenarios, the duration of the atomic workbench for battery life can reach 9.8 hours, with a 30% increase in battery life duration.

This new product also supports direct operation underwater, with IPX8+IPX9 level dual waterproofing, capable of withstanding a 10-ton water frontal continuous water cannon impact. The ultra-reliable lightweight hinge allows for continuous folding and stable opening and closing. Additionally, the newly upgraded Global Signal Amplification System 3.0 features a self-developed 1+4 communication chip set that includes a Global Signal Amplification chip and four Wi-Fi enhanced through-wall chips, significantly enhancing communication performance.
Igeekphone has noted that the new device also features Dimensity 9500 Ultra Edition, which is claimed to be a “SoC specifically developed for large-screen foldable devices”. The peak performance of the NPU has increased by 111% compared to the previous generation, and the power consumption has been further optimized by 56%. The computing power has doubled while the power consumption has been halved. It has been deeply adapted for the large screen and AI functions of the X Fold6.

Vivo X Fold6 aims to become the strongest foldable imaging flagship, and it is also a “foldable sub-model of V”. It features an ultra-powerful 200-megapixel camera for folding, the first launch of the Zeiss APO super telephoto lens for folding, an imaging chip V3+ from Blueprint, support for the equivalent 200mm vivo Zeiss telephoto lens G2, support for Blueprint’s native colors, Blueprint’s color palette, and multiple color styles.
In addition, both the inner and outer screens of this device are equipped with the latest and most powerful generation of light-emitting materials. Among them, the inner screen of the Samsung M14, which was the first to feature a foldable design, has a higher peak brightness and lower power consumption.
