Igeekphone reported on June 10th that the blogger Digital Chat Station hinted that the Xiaomi 16 will be released at the end of September, and this device will be the world’s first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship platform.
As is customary, Xiaomi’s digital series flagship models usually come with the latest generation of the Surge OS from the factory. Therefore, the Surge OS 3 May also make its debut at the end of September, and it is expected to be first equipped on the Xiaomi 16.
It is reported that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is manufactured based on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process and adopts the second-generation self-developed CPU architecture. The GPU’s independent cache has been increased from 12MB to 16MB, with a performance improvement of about 30%. The NPU example has reached 100TPOS.
In terms of the Gaming experience, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will support Snapdragon Elite Gaming. When the Adreno Graphics motion engine is enabled, the frame insertion technology can double the game frame rate. This not only brings an upgrade in the smoothness of the picture quality, but also reduces power consumption with the help of the frame insertion technology.
In addition, the Xiaomi 16 will feature a small-sized straight screen. The Pro version is expected to have a 2K straight screen, be equipped with Leica imaging, and be powered by a large-capacity Kinsha River battery. This will be the most powerful digital flagship in Xiaomi’s history.
