The news is that Xiaomi is testing Samsung’s 200 Megapixel Sensor, and it is expected that Xiaomi’s mid-range models will use this sensor.
According to the news, Samsung’s 200 Megapixel sensor model is ISOCELL HP1, with a unit pixel area of 0.64μm and supports ChameleonCell pixel synthesis. In a low light environment, Samsung’s 200 Megapixels can synthesize large 1.28μm pixels to generate 50 million pixel proofs, or synthesize 2.56μm large pixels to generate 12.5 million pixel proofs.
Previously, Xiaomi first released Samsung’s 100-megapixel sensor in 2019. The first model is the Xiaomi CC9 Pro series. This 100-megapixel sensor model is ISOCELL Bright HMX, which is developed by Xiaomi and Samsung.
The size of this sensor reached 1/1.33 inches, which was the super-outsole sensor at that time. With this sensor and Xiaomi’s excellent image adjustment capabilities, the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition won first place in the DXOMARK ranking at the time.
Now Xiaomi mobile phones are about to usher in the era of 200 Megapixels, and its imaging performance is expected.
