Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Finally Received MIUI 12 Stable Update In China

The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE was launched in 2019 and stood out for decent specifications at a contained price. On the software front, it came with Android 9 Pie onboard along with MIUI 10.3.3. Since then, the company has released the Android 10 update for the device.

In addition, it also picked up the MIUI 11 update towards the end of 2019. Recently, Xiaomi announced its new skin on Android called MIUI 12 in China. And the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE was on the list of devices eligible to receive the MIUI 12 update.

It goes without saying that Mi 9 SE users have been waiting for the update to hit their devices for a while. It seems that the wait is over for users in China. This is because the MIUI 12 stable update was finally released for the phone.

The first stable MIUI 12 update for the Mi 9 SE comes as version V12.0.1.0.QFBCNXM which has been included in the previous MIUI 11 based version V11.0.3.0.QFBCNXM. As expected, it brings a ton of new features and improvements to the phone.

The update is currently being shipped via OTA to Mi 9 SE drives in China with a download size of 817 MB. In case you haven’t received the update on your device yet, don’t worry. You can download and install the new update manually. However, if you do not know much about this issue, we recommend that you wait for the update to arrive on your device Globally.
