Today, Xiaomi is one of the most important days in 2019. In Beijing, they officially introduced the 4th gene of the world’s most popular fitness bracelet – Xiaomi Mi Band 4. Even though we knew before the performance how it would look like, we were now able to learn all its features.
Earlier Mi Band bracelets are new to the color screen. The 0.95-inch AMOLED touch screen is also 39.9% larger than before. The display contains 120 × 240 pixels and its brightness reaches 400 nits. Naturally, Mi Band 4 still provides comprehensive activity and exercise tracking functions. It is said to be a three-axis high-precision accelerometer and a gyroscope, as well as a heart rate monitor. Mi Band 4 is also suitable for bathing monitoring and is water resistant up to 50 meters (5ATM) and supports intelligent swimming style recognition.
In addition to the activity functions, Mi Band 4 is also capable of presenting weather information and notifications of applications and incoming calls from the smartphone.
In addition to the display, the Mi Band 4 has increased the battery size to 135mAh. The battery has enough power for 20 days. The connection to the paired smartphone is via Bluetooth 5.0. In China, Mi Band 4 also supports Xiaom’s Xiao Artificial Intelligence Assistant and will be available as a standalone version of Alipay NFC support. The weight of Mi Band 4 is only 22 grams.
In China, the price of the basic version of Mi Band 4 is only 169 yuan (about $24.45) and sales will begin on June 16th. Later on in Europe, the price of Mi Band 4 can prove to be somewhat higher but still at a lower price.
Basic version wrist colors include black, brown, blue, orange and pink. Mi Band 4 also featured Avengers-specific versions along with many conventional color versions. Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Avengers Limited Edition costs 349 yuan (about $50.50) in China.
