Xiaomi released Xiaomi mi note 2 yesterday, and it proves it comes with dual curve screen which is really a lookalike of Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 7. So do you want to know what’s the difference among them? And will Xiaomi mi note 2 become the more worthwhile to buy?
Samsung is the first brand to take the idea of curved screen, Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi also make the first attempt on its year-end smartphone, MI Note 2 to use dual curved screen. Xiaomi MI Note 2 and Note 7 both adopt 5.7inch screen but S7 Edge with 5.5inch. MI Note 2 uses 1080p OLED display supplied by LG screen not 2k screen that we have imagined before But Note 7 takes 2K Super AMOLED screen, and you need to know that Xiaomi MI Note 2 and S7 Edge both have Gorilla Glass 4 screen and Galaxy Note 7 has Gorilla Glass 5 screen which is more powerful. Therefore, in screen Samsung Note 7 still wins.
Xiaomi MI Note is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 SoC clocked at 2.35GHz processor, but Note 7 uses Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset and S7 Edge comes with Snapdragon 820 processor, which Snapdragon 821 has not been released at that time. In terms of performance, of course Snapdragon 821 CPU is the best until now compared with other Snapdragon chipsets. As for Samsung chipset, it will also as powerful as Snapdragon 821. Xiaomi MI Note 2 has two variant, 4GB RAM+64GB variant and a 6GB RAM+128GB variant. But Note 7 only has RAM 4GB ROM 64GB and S7 Edge has RAM 4GB and ROM 32GB,64GB. But Xiaomi MI Note 2 doesn’t support SD card for expansion, and Samsung phones can support up to 256GB SD card for expansion. Anyway, in terms of RAM, Xiaomi can win.
Xiaomi MI Note 2 doesn’t come with dual rear camera as Xiaomi mi5s plus, but it’s first time to use largest pixels in back camera with 22.56MP f/2.0 Sony IMX 318 sensor and EIS, 4K recording supporting. We really can’t believe Xiaomi make the first trial to improve its camera. But Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and S7 Edge both adopts 12MP main camera with f/1.7 sensor, OIS and 4K recording supporting. As for front camera, Xiaomi MI note 2 comes with 8MP one with IMX268 Sony sensor, f2.0 aperture, and supports beauty 3.0, while Note 7 and S7 edge both only have 5MP front camera with f/1.7 apertures, autofucus and HDR supporting. Therefore, in terms of specs, Xiaomi MI Note 2 wins over other two in dual camera. Xiaomi has not let us down this time in terms of camera.
We have to praise Xiaomi mi note 2 with 4070mAh big battery capacity while Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge only has 3600mAh and Note 7 with 3500mAh battery, as a large screen phone, the battery should come larger in its capacity. Xiaomi has made it. Meanwhile, they all can support QC3.0, so Xiaomi mi note 2 should have longer battery life in theory. Good Job, Xiaomi.
Before Xiaomi mi note 2 released, we have guessed every possible black technology that Xiaomi mi note 2 will have since Xiaomi mi5s came out with some outstanding features that other manufacturers have never used. Xiaomi MI Note 2 supports fingerprint scanner on the Home button under the screen, NFC, 24bit Hi-Fi sound quality, Netcom, 4G+, 37 frequency network 4G band, IR blaster and so on. Galaxy Note 7 comes with improved S-pen which is exclusive for them, and it can support waterproof function, NFC, fingerprint scanner and wireless charging, so can S7 Edge. We believe if Xiaomi mi note 2 could support waterproof, it would be better.
Xiaomi MI Note 2 can really become the best alternative of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and S7 Edge, if you want to save more money due to hardware, camera, battery and other features comparison. As you know, Xiaomi mi note 2 RAM 4GB ROM 64GB sells at $413 and RAM 6GB ROM 128GB at $487, and a global version which can support US network with RAM 6GB ROM 128GB at $516. But Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has price tag at $850, more expensive than MI Note 2 global top version. S7 Edge also sells very expensively at $600 for 32GB, and over $700 for ROM 64GB. Therefore, do you know which one you should select now?
