Developer Kacskrz has discovered a new version of MIUI called “MIUI Go” for entry-level machines with less than 4GB of memory.
According to XDA, MIUI Go will be applied to a new Xiaomi POCO device, named Xiaomi POCO C40, which is xiaomi’s entry device for overseas markets.
While few details are available on MIUI Go, it’s likely to be a deeply customized operating system based on Android Go.
Android Go, as it’s known, is a version of Android designed for entry-level phones, with Google simplifying the current Android system to run on phones with little memory. And with Android Go, a phone with 8 gigabytes of storage can double that.
If MIUI Go is deeply customized based on Android Go, this version of MIUI will not only ensure smooth operation of small memory phones, but also retain the features of MIUI, making the experience more user-friendly.
