Igeekphone News: Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi 17 4G smartphone has appeared in the European Union’s EPREL database, revealing key details about its battery endurance, durability, and charging capabilities. The device is expected to arrive with a large 7,500mAh battery, IP64 water and dust resistance, and nearly 74 hours of endurance on a full charge.
According to technology media outlet YtechB, the EU EPREL (European Product Registry for Energy Labelling) listing for the Xiaomi Redmi 17 4G has been published, providing new information about the phone’s energy efficiency and durability specifications.
The EPREL database indicates that the Redmi 17 4G can deliver approximately 73 hours and 54 minutes of battery life after a full charge. The certification also reveals that the device can retain more than 80% of its original battery capacity after 1,000 charging cycles, highlighting Xiaomi’s focus on long-term battery durability.
In addition, the listing confirms that the Redmi 17 4G will feature IP64-rated protection, meaning it will offer resistance against dust and splashes of water. The phone is also expected to support 45W fast charging, helping users recharge its large battery more efficiently.
Large Battery and Durable Design
The Redmi 17 4G is expected to be equipped with a 7,500mAh high-capacity battery, which would place it among the battery-focused smartphones in Xiaomi’s Redmi lineup.
According to the leaked information, the phone measures 170.12mm × 78.42mm × 8.8mm and weighs 232 grams, making it a relatively large device due to its oversized battery and display.
Leaked renders suggest that the smartphone will be available in at least three color options:
- Deep Blue
- Black
- Oak Green
A previous report also mentioned a possible Lotus Purple color variant.

6.9-inch 120Hz Display and MediaTek Chipset
In terms of hardware, the Redmi 17 4G is rumored to feature the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor and run HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16.
The device is expected to sport a large 6.9-inch display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and support for a 120Hz refresh rate, providing smoother scrolling and improved responsiveness for everyday use.
For memory configurations, Xiaomi is reportedly preparing two RAM options:
- 4GB RAM + 128GB storage
- 6GB RAM + 256GB storage
Dual-Camera System with 50MP Main Sensor
For photography, the Redmi 17 4G is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the rear. The main camera will reportedly use a 50-megapixel sensor, accompanied by a secondary auxiliary lens.
On the front, the phone is expected to include an 8-megapixel selfie camera for video calls and basic photography.
A Battery-Focused Entry-Level Smartphone
With its massive battery, durable design, and long endurance rating, the Redmi 17 4G appears to focus on users who prioritize battery life and reliability over flagship-level specifications.
The combination of a 7,500mAh battery, 45W charging, IP64 protection, and a 120Hz display could make the device an attractive option in the affordable smartphone segment, especially for users who need extended usage without frequent charging.

Xiaomi has not yet officially announced the Redmi 17 4G, and details such as pricing, launch date, and regional availability remain unknown. More information is expected as the device moves closer to its official release.
