Igeekphone reported on January 28th that Xiaomi REDMI Redmi mobile phone has launched a pre-release campaign for the Turbo 5 standard model. This new model is positioned as a “2K-level performance phone with higher quality”, and it will be officially released at 19:00 tomorrow evening.
In terms of texture, the official pre-release information indicates that the Xiaomi REDMI Turbo 5 phone adopts a metal frame + glass back panel design, combined with a large R-angle + narrow bezel + balance of weight distribution scheme, which takes into account both texture and durability, while also improving the user experience.
In terms of size, this device features a medium-sized 6.59-inch design, equipped with a 7560mAh large battery. It also supports 100W wired fast charging + 27W wired reverse charging, and is compatible with the 100W PPS fast charging protocol.
In terms of performance, the first batch of Redmi Turbo 5 is equipped with MediaTek 8500-Ultra processor (4nm process technology), along with LPDDR5 Ultra + UFS4.1 combination, and adopts the same 3D ice-cooling circulation fan cooling system as the flagship model. IT News noticed that this device also features the latest Wild Engine, claiming “Integrated Frequency Adjustment for CPU / GPU / DDR”.
In terms of screen and protection, Redmi Turbo 5 is equipped with the same super bright screen as the MAX model. It uses M10 light-emitting material and has a peak brightness of 3500 nits, supporting Xiaomi Qingshan eye protection. The device also supports IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K water resistance and offers functions such as kilometer-level no 4G network connection, Apple device interconnection, file transfer, and notification circulation.
According to an earlier report by Igeekphone, Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 series of mobile phones have been scheduled to be released on January 29 at 19:00. The appearance of both the Max and standard versions has been made public.
