Igeekphone News, July 10th: Today, Xiaomi released the MIX Flip 2 and answered netizens’ questions (Part 3). Regarding the highly concerned question from netizens, “Why wasn’t the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 on the Xuanjie O1?”, Xiaomi gave a response.
Xiaomi officially stated: “As the first-generation SoC of Xuanjie, the Xuanjie O1 is mainly for technical verification. The total planned volume at the beginning of the project was relatively limited and could not meet the demand for large-scale mass production of small foldable products.”
Igeekphone noticed that at the 15th anniversary strategic new product release event of Xiaomi in May this year, the Xiaomi Xuanjie O1 processor was officially launched. It has 19 billion transistors and adopts the world’s most advanced 3nm process, with a chip area of only 109mm ². In terms of architecture, the Xiaomi Xuanjie O1 is equipped with a ten-core quad-cluster CPU, featuring dual super-large cores, 4 performance large cores, 2 efficiency large cores, and 2 super efficiency cores. The maximum main frequency of the super-large core is 3.9GHz, with a single-core score exceeding 3000 points and a multi-core score exceeding 9500 points.
In terms of GPU, the Xuanjie O1 adopts the latest Immortalis-G925 16-core graphics processor, which supports dynamic performance scheduling technology. Its performance surpasses that of the Apple A18 Pro, and it has lower power consumption.
Currently, this processor is only equipped in products such as the Xiaomi 15S Pro mobile phone, Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, and Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro. Lei Jun previously stated that when making the Xuanjie O1, Xiaomi never expected it to perform so well. I really didn’t expect that, so the total number of chips for the entire O1 was set to be insufficient. The plan was to develop four products.
