iGEEKPHONE News reported on May 8th: According to blogger “Digital Dilly Chat”, Xiaomi 17 Max has been approved for sale and it supports 100W fast charging.
The blogger also hinted at the features of the new device: a flagship-level RGB OLED large screen, a more minimalist design, better performance release, a more practical Leica imaging range, a larger silicon battery, and more versatile peripheral accessories.
According to previous reports, Xiaomi 17 Max will be released this month. It is expected to have a screen size of around 6.9 inches, returning to the ultra-large screen category.

This model is quite different from the previous Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. It has abandoned the rather distinctive back-screen design and uses the saved space to pack in a larger battery capacity. The previously disclosed battery capacity was 8000mAh ±, which is also the largest battery capacity for Xiaomi brand phones.
In terms of charging, it is expected that the Xiaomi 17 Max will continue to offer 100W wired fast charging + 50W wireless fast charging, and be compatible with the 100W PPS protocol.
The new model’s camera module is expected to be similar to the standard version. Its appearance is more minimalist. In fact, it can be regarded as the large-screen version of Xiaomi 17.

The imaging system will undergo some changes. The main camera features a Samsung ISOCELL HP series 2-billion-pixel sensor, along with a 50-megapixel 3X telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, covering all the shooting requirements of the full focal length range.
Equipped with the 5th-generation Snapdragon 8 supreme edition, along with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, it features top-of-the-line specifications.
In terms of price, it is expected that the Xiaomi 17 Max will be slightly higher than the standard version of Xiaomi 17, possibly on par with the Xiaomi 17 Pro. The starting price is expected to be 4,999 yuan.
