In December of last year Xiaomi, along with its business partners, launched the first gaming mouse designed for eSports under the brand “Blazing Soul” and called YU Y720. After more than 7 months, the Chinese giant presented the second generation of gaming mouse dedicated to eSports called Xiaomi YU Y720 Lite.
If not informed, Blazing Soul is a brand new peripheral brand of high-end eSport owned by Dingju Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (Beijing), in which they jointly invested Lenovo Group, Perfect World, Fire Cat TV, and Aiwang Electronics. It was created, keeping in mind one goal: to create a brand of peripherals for high-end eSports and to break the monopoly of foreign brands (Razer above all).
Compared to the Blazing Soul Y720, the Xiaomi YU Y720 Lite mouse shape is more rounded. It adapts perfectly to the right-hand thanks to the ergonomic design. The 7 buttons and the non-slip surface reduce the possibility of sliding caused by perspiration, therefore, it is suitable for long sessions of play. The Xiaomi YU Y720 Light also uses a TPR + ABS injection molding process, while the surface uses a patented BabyFace coating to provide a skin-like and stain-resistant touch. The wet wipes can be used to completely clean the mouse by rubbing gently.
From a technical point of view, it is equipped with a 2000W click motion, PMW3360 optical engine, a 32-bit 48-MHz master chip, and fast 5-file DPI switching. However, the most distinctive feature is its panoramic light effect design. The entire mouse has up to 5 RGB lighting areas of up to 16.8 million colors, achieving 360 ° illumination without dead spots.
Although the sensitivity in DPI has dropped dramatically compared to the previous model (from 12,000 to 7,200), even the price has not been less. The new Xiaomi YU Y720 Lite, in fact, cost 349 yuan ($52) against 499 yuan ($75) of the previous model.
