Even if they are not particularly widespread, AGM’s rugged phone brands have immediately distinguished themselves for a care of the hardware sector superior to the standard. An aspect not to be overlooked, especially considering that this Asian company has only been present in the sector since 2016. At MWC 2018, in addition to was announced AGM X3 officially, the new model was based on Snapdragon 845.
The AGM X3’s Snapdragon 845 processor get 280,000 points in Antutu, while the Oneplus 6 antutu score is 300,000 and Xiaomi Mi 8 obtained 290,000 points with the same processor. It is comparable to the flagship devices such as the Oneplus 6 and Xiaomi Mi 8, so the performance of the AGM X3 can be called a flagship rugged Smartphone.
In the past, the rugged Smartphone could only be used for outdoor activities. The idea of playing a game or purchasing another flagship phone is outdated. At present, in addition to being able to use normally in harsh environments, the AGM X3 can still be used as a flagship device for entertainment and activities in daily environments.
Reading the features, Yet like all AGM handsets, it will be IP68-rated against dust and water. The phone will feature a 5.99” display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is not clear, however, if the technology adopted will be JDI or AMOLED.
As anticipated, everything is based on Snapdragon 845, here flanked by 6/8 GB of LPDDR4X-1866 dual channel RAM and 64/128GB of internal memory expandable via microSD. The battery will be about 5000/6000 mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 quick charge via USB Type-C port and wireless charging. Software side we will have Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
Interesting the camera section, with a dual rear camera 24MP + 12MP, whose features have not yet been announced (let’s assume the classic bokeh). On the front, however, the sensor is 20MP and integrates the release by facial recognition. The rest of the specifications include dual Nano SIM support, Wi-Fi 2 × 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, OTG and various sensors.
As also specified in the image above, the arrival of the AGM X3 is expected in coming weeks. As for the price, there have been no communications yet. Surely it will not be a particularly inexpensive ragged smartphone.
