In addition to being presented the new Xiaomi Mi Band 4, the manufacturer of this has announced the new Amazfit Verge 2. This new smartwatch that comes loaded with technology and a cardiac sensor capable of performing electrocardiograms as a novelty.
The Xiaomi Amazfit Verge 2 comes as a great alternative between luxury smartwatch and it is that this new model is manufactured with a ceramic body of micro-crystalline zirconium with a leather strap and integrates in its interior an endless technology.
Its screen that is totally round is of type AMOLED and has a size of 1.39 inches and a resolution of 454 × 454 pixels offering a density of 326ppi and a contouring 2.5D. Inside we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear processor at 1.1Ghz along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of eMMC storage. In addition, it has eSIM technology compatible with 4G and VoLTE.
Another important feature is the integration of GPS, which will allow us to monitor our route by doing sports activities. In addition, it is capable of detecting up to 10 different types of sport, whether cycling, running or gym activities.
Xiaomi Amazfit Varge 2 has an ECG sensor capable of performing electrocardiograms very precisely, achieving even an accuracy that exceeds 97 %. This is able to detect any anomaly in our heart rate by notifying immediately.
For now, as far as the battery is concerned, the company has only reported that it will have an autonomy of up to 28 hours making use of the 4G LTE connection, so this is a smartwatch that even using it independently will cover us more than a day of autonomy.
As for the prices, the Amazfit Verge 2 standard version is priced at 999 yuan ($144) while the ECG version is priced at 1299 yuan ($187). The Avengers limited edition costs 1499 yuan ($216) and its just 5000 units will be available. The reservation for the standard version opens today in China while the Avengers Limited Edition and ECG version are scheduled to go on sale in July.
