As planned, the Samsung has today presented the new Galaxy Tab S6 to the world, successor to the Tab S4 that we analyzed at the time, and that arrives to be at the top of its catalog of tablets based on the operating system of the green android.
Although there was not much to know about the device because of the leaks, Samsung has managed to keep the occasional ace up its sleeve, which has not been revealed until the presentation of the tablet.
The manufacturer’s new high-end tablet features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, 16: 10 aspect ratio and brightness up to 500 nits. The optical fingerprint reader is located under this same slab. For audio, there are four AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage space up to 510GB via microSD card. The 7040mAh battery allows you to enjoy up to 15 hours of video playback.
There is a dual f / 2.0 + 5MP f / 2.2 wide-angle f / 2.2 photo sensor on the back and an 8MP f / 2.0 front panel for selfies and face recognition. Software side, it is, of course, Android 9 Pie with overlayer One UI which is of the part.
Side features, we are entitled to a new generation S Pen Bluetooth compatible with 4096 pressure points, a 0.7mm mini and a latency of 70 milliseconds. It can also be used to control the camera or perform other actions remotely.
The stylet magnetically attaches to a notch on the back of the tablet or stows in a compartment of the Keyboard cover. 10 minutes of recharge is enough to enjoy for 10 hours. The Samsung DEX way to use the tablet as a PC and a new keyboard are also there.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will be available starting on September 6th the LTE version is coming later this year. Samsung’s new high-end tablet is available in 3 different colors: light blue, gray and rose gold. Its Wi-Fi version will start at $649 for the 6GB/128GB model and $729 for the 8GB/256GB model. The optional keyboard cover will cost an additional $179.
