On September 1, we noted in the calendar an important debut, that of the ZTE Axon 20 5G phone, the world’s first mass-produced Android smartphone with a so-called under-screen camera (USC). Ahead of his debut, Ni Fei, ZTE Mobile Business President, consistently teased him. Including the latest coming from an official render that makes us even more curious about what the Axon 20 5G will look like.
The official render highlights the design of the ZTE Axon 20 5G, where the pictures show that the smartphone will pack a notch-free full-screen design surrounded by a fairly thin bezel. The design is similar to what we saw in the TENAA certification some time ago and should be able to offer a high screen-to-body ratio. In addition, this also confirms that the Axon 20 5G will indeed have a camera under the screen.
While on the back, there the vertically arranged quad-camera stands out, which is led by a 64MP main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture. According to the approval authority TENAA, the Axon 20 5G will also have an 8MP camera (presumably ultra-wide-angle) and two 2MP sensors (macro and depth).
The model is equipped with a 6.92-inch FHD + OLED display. Directly behind it is an invisible 32MP selfie camera and an optical fingerprint sensor. The battery has a capacity of 4120mAh and the operating system is Android 10.
An unspecified octa-core SoC with a clock frequency of 2.4 GHz is located under the hood. This information fits the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. The SoC is optionally flanked by 6, 8, or even 12GB of RAM. There is also 64, 128 or 256GB of internal storage space, which can be expanded by up to 1TB using a microSD card. At TENAA, the ZTE Axon 20 5G is listed in white and blue.
