Earlier this month, Samsung announced the presence of a Samsung Galaxy A42 5G smartphone which will be the cheapest 5G phone they release. However, the company was hesitant to say which processor it uses and now we know why it did so.
The information came from Dealintech.com, which posted a Galaxy A42 5G entry from the Geekbench benchmark database, which lists the characteristics of the smartphone’s chipset. In the database, the device is recorded under the model number SM-A426B and is said to be the first smartphone to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G chipset. This is evidenced by the composition of the processor used.
In the leak, it is stated that the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G has an Adreno 619 GPU and also an octa-core processor with 2 cores with a speed of 2.21 GHz and 6 cores with a speed of 1.80 GHz. This proves that this smartphone will later carry the Snapdragon 750G.
Previously there was also speculation that the Galaxy A42 5G will be equipped with the Snapdragon 690 5G chipset. But the processor configuration and GPU of the chipset are known to be the same as the Snapdragon 750G configuration.
Recall that the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will receive an AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.6 inches and FHD + resolution, a fingerprint sensor under the screen, and a 5000mAh battery. The front camera will have a resolution of 20MP, and the main camera will receive a 48MP + 8MP + 5MP + 5MP formula.
Sales of new items in Europe will begin in November at a price of 369 euros (around $432). Of course, the presence of the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will later make other brands feel competitive and then release a 5G smartphone at an even cheaper price.
