Xiaomi has started launching an internal testing update for Android 14 on some devices. Code listed by xiaomiui.net shows that Xiaomi has started internally testing the Android 14 update on a number of its devices since April 25, 2023 (sources say the list includes Mi 13, Mi 13 Pro, Mi Pad 6, Mi Pad 6 Pro).
Android 14 promises to be a major upgrade to the Android operating system, with many new features and improvements over Android 13. Expected features include enhanced privacy, improved notification management, and improved foldable device compatibility. It is also expected to significantly improve battery life and overall performance.
These internal tests will allow the MIUI 14 system to be upgraded to the top tier of Android 14. Xiaomi also promises to provide regular updates and security patches to ensure its users’ devices remain safe and up to date.
Google will release an Android 14 update in August, and Xiaomi is expected to further announce device adaptation plans for MIUI 14 / Android 14.
