Chuwi launched its first laptop just a few months ago. But the Chinese company has been producing Windows and Android tablets for a while, and has a habit of offering models with either head-turning specs or price tags… or sometimes both. Case in point? The company’s next laptop features a 12.3 inch, 2736 x 1824 pixel display and 6GB of RAM. The company hasn’t revealed a price for the Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 yet, but the notebook’s other specs suggest it will be relatively cheap for a computer with the same display panel Microsoft uses in the Surface Pro 4 tablet and The Lenovo Ideapad Air 12 is another alternative in the 12.2 inch range of Windows notebooks. This system is powered by an Intel Core M3-6Y30 with up to 2.2 gigahertz, 4 gigabytes of memory and a 128GB SSD hard drive. All hardware is installed in a narrow aluminum housing. Design

Probably the most interesting part of the LapBook 12.3 is that it is shipping with a 2736 x 1824 3:2 display at 12.3-inches. That gives a density of 267 pixels per inch, and eagle-eyed readers might have noticed that this is the same resolution and size as the display in the Surface Pro 4, so it is likely the same panel that Microsoft is using in their tablet. Chuwi didn’t confirm if it was an IPS display, but it most likely is. It’s similar to their. The new LapBook 12.3 measures in at 300 x 223 x 16.7 mm (11.8 x 8.78 x 0.66 inches), and weighs in at 1.45 kg (3.18 lbs), so despite the small and thin design, it’s not as light as a more expensive Ultrabook would be at this size.

 

Lenovo Ideapad Air 12 has 30.00 x 22.30 x 1.34 cm / 11.81 x 8.78 x 0.53 inches dimensions,  1.2000 kg weight, which can be carried anywhere. It has a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, a DC Jack, a 3.5mm headphone jack, It has 12.2 inch FHD IPS Screen with 1920 x 1080 Resolution, which can support doing office work with clear image quality. You can also play 3D games to enjoy vivid experience, thanks to FHD resolution. As a notebook, there is no need to be large, 12.2 inch is quite suitable to use it without any load.

Hardware

LapBook 12.3 features the same CPU as the LapBook 14.1, with an Intel Celeron N3450, which is a quad-core Apollo Lake. Performance is not as good as a Core based laptop, but the experience is reasonable for less demanding tasks. Chuwi is pairing this with 6 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of eMMC flash storage, so the experience should be similar to the LapBook 14.1, but with more RAM so you can multitask a bit more. They are also keeping the 802.11ac Wi-Fi, which is probably the same 1×1 card found in the larger LapBook.
