The engineering parameters of the super-large-capacity flagship model of a certain factory have been revealed today. According to Digital Chat Station’s report, the 2nm “big cup” engineering sample of that factory has entered the testing stage. It features a large R-angle ultra-narrow quadrilateral straight screen design, and its core configuration is fully optimized. Based on various pieces of information, it is speculated that this device is the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max that is set to be unveiled in the second half of the year.
The imaging system is the top priority of this upgrade. It is revealed that this device will exclusively feature a 200 million pixel LOFIC ultra-large sensor main camera and a 200 million pixel large sensor telephoto macro lens, forming a “double 200 million” luxurious solution. The sensor size of the main camera is expected to reach 1/1.28 inches, and the telephoto end supports close-up macro shooting. The blogger responded by saying “close-up telephoto macro”.

Based on previous reports, the Pro Max will also retain the classic rear screen design, making it one of the few flagship devices in the Android ecosystem that adheres to the secondary screen configuration.
In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to be the first to globally launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro chip, which is manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process. This chip features a 2+3+3 tri-cluster octa-core CPU architecture, supports LPDDR6 memory, and its GPU has been upgraded to Adreno 850. The end-side AI performance and ray tracing capabilities have both been significantly enhanced.
The battery configuration is also very advanced. The capacity of the engineering machine battery is set at over 8000mAh, with the goal of reaching up to 8500mAh. It supports 100-watt level wired and wireless fast charging.

It is worth noting that some users in the comment section directly stated “The cost must have skyrocketed”, while the blogger responded “It’s okay, the price is also high”. Due to the significant increase in the cost of 2nm chips and the rise in storage prices, the pricing of Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is likely to rise significantly. The previous model’s starting price of around 5999 yuan is highly unlikely to be maintained.
