Sharp Will Release 5 Smartphones In Europe This Year: Specs, Release Date and Prices

This year, the Japanese manufacturer intends to introduce several phones to Europe, and plans related to this have already appeared at IFA 2017. Now the network has information on the upcoming Sharp models! In total, there will be 5 devices from each segment – from the budget to the flagship device.

At the first fire goes the phone to be the flagship phone manufacturer. Sharp E-F1 – this is what the new model is called – you can guess, it will get a Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 graphics, which will be supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The latter will be expandable by a maximum of 128GB.

    SHARP E-F1

As you can see on the renderer above, the phone will be frameless, and the manufacturer intends to continue the trend initiated last year to indent in the display. The Sharp E-F1 will get an IGZO display with a diagonal of 6 inches, a 19: 9 aspect ratio and WQHD + resolution (3040 x 1440 px, 560 PPI). On the back, there will be a dual camera of 22.6MP and 16MP, and on the front a 16.3MP camera, which he will be doing for the “Cyclopian eye” – just like in the Aquos S2 model. The whole is to be powered by a battery with a capacity of not less than 3000 mAh and will be priced at € 999 ($1228.12).

    SHARP E-P1

The next model will be Sharp E-P1, which will go to the premium segment. The phone will receive a “frameless” display with a diagonal of 5.99 inches and FullHD + resolution. This time there will be no “cyclopean eye” here, only typical for many of this year’s notch models. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 graphics. The smooth operation will be equivalent to 6GB of RAM, and 64GB will be prepared for the user’s files (extendable to a maximum of 128 GB). In the back, there will be a double camera 12MP + 13MP (telephoto lens), and the front 16 MP. The whole will be powered by a battery with a capacity of 3200 mAh. Expected price will be around € 799 ($982.25).

    SHARP E-H1

This model will be even smaller than its predecessors and aims at a lower place on the upper shelf. The Sharp E-H1 also gets a 5.5-inch non-framed display with a cut on the camera and FullHD + resolution. The heart of the device will be the Snapdragon 630 with the Adreno 508 GPU, supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory (expandable by a maximum of 128 GB). In the back, there will be a single 16MP camera, and at the front of 20MP – so you can assume that this phone will be aimed at selfie lovers. The battery with a capacity of 3020 mAh is responsible for the time of work on one charge and its price is € 499 ($613.45).

    SHARP E-M1

The fourth phone will hit the medium shelf. Sharp E-M1 will be powered by the MediaTek MT6750T processor (quite old, because from 2016) with a graphics system that is Mali-T860 MP2. For this, we get 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory with the possibility of expanding with a MicroSD card. The display will have 5.7 inches and HD + resolution, with small frames at the top and bottom. At the back, the producer will place a dual camera of 13MP + 8MP, and at the front, there will be a single 13MP camera. The whole is to be powered by a battery with a capacity of at least 4000 mAh and the price is € 399 ($490.51).

    SHARP E-L1

The last phone call from this producer that we will get this year will be the Sharp E-L1, targeting the lowest shelf (specification and price). This model will get a display with a diagonal of 5.7 inches and HD + resolution. Its heart will be the MTK MT6737T layout with Mali-T720 MP2 graphics, plus 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which we will also be able to expand. On the back, he will find a double camera of 13MP + 5MP, and on the front 8MP. The whole will be powered by a 4000 mAh battery and its price will be € 249 ($306.11).

As for the specification and appearance of new devices of SHARP, I have no objections. However, when looking at these prices, I must say that the Japanese can get seriously disappointed if they bring their devices to Europe. I do not think that people will be willing to spend such sums on the equipment of the manufacturer, which is not very well-known for the production of smartphones – after all, most associate the company only as a producer of televisions.
