After the success of the new Elephone U\UPro and Elephone U2, launched before the summer, the Chinese company announced that it will soon present another model of the U-Series. For the moment we do not know his name but, thanks to the leaked images and the little information released to date, we can get an idea of how the new smartphone will be made and what features it will have. New Elephone U-Series Smartphone Comes with 6.5-inch FHD + (also 3D glasses-free) punch-hole display and 48MP dual-camera, in two colors.
As you can see from the renderings released by Elephone, the next model will be available in two colors: emerald green and the other in gradient with tones from blue to purple. It will once again be a borderless smartphone on four sides, with a very large 6.5 inch Full HD + screen – also available in stereoscopic (3D) glasses-free (without glasses) – with ultraslim frames on four sides and a chin a little ‘more pronounced 3-4 millimeters thick.
We can imagine that the screen-to-body ratio is the highest, considering that Elephone has chosen a punch-hole display, with the hole in the left corner occupied by the front camera. And it is probably thanks to this design that the smartphone is very compact with a frame that measures just 162.4 x 77.3 x 8.3 millimeters.
On the back, instead, there is a dual-camera designed for professional shots, composed of a 48MP main sensor and a secondary one for the depth of field, with an interposed LED flash and artificial intelligence technology to support. The fingerprint sensor in the back suggests that the new model of the Elephone U-Series will not be very expensive and the company has opted for a slightly older but cheaper solution. On the sides, we note the speaker, a slot for microSD cards and a USB Type-C port on the bottom that will be used for charging, for data connection and also to replace the audio jack that is absent.
The hardware platform (it will be MediaTek or Qualcomm) and the capacity of the battery, two components that influence the autonomy of the smartphone and obviously on its performance, remains a mystery.
