Starting with iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3 and macOS 15.3 versions, Apple’s latest artificial Intelligence feature, “Apple Intelligence,” will be turned on by default. However, if the user does not intend to use this feature, they can manually turn it off and free up the storage space.
According to the latest information on Apple’s support page, Apple Intelligence now requires 7GB of storage. Whether it’s an iPhone, iPad or Mac, the amount of storage required is the same.
Apple’s website also shows that if a user turns off Apple Intelligence, the local model may be removed from the device.
