Chuwi Hi10 X and Chuwi Ubook Pro

CHUWI has launched a new product Hi10 X recently, which is the new model of Hi10 series tablets. Equipped with Intel Gemini-Lake N4100, the ninth-generation GPU, 6GB RAM, and 128GB eMMC combination, Hi10X has upgraded a lot in the configuration. And CHUWI recently released a new version of the tablet UBook Pro based on the Intel Celeron N4100 processor generation Gemini Lake. This 14nm chip copes well with routine tasks and is highly energy efficient. With a combination of high performance and affordable pricing, the Chuwi Ubook Pro is a bargain. In this article, we will see What’s the difference between Chuwi Hi10 X vs Chuwi Ubook Pro? Let’s check out a quick comparison review of both devices here.

    Design

The Hi10 X, by Chuwi, is a versatile device that is lightweight and looks great. With a totally premium appearance, it is a tablet for those looking for more than an entertainment device. And its components want to ensure performance that goes beyond playing adapted titles. The CHUWI Hi10 X tablet is not content to be a product that meets the minimum. That shows from the first moment, seeing the finish that the manufacturer has dedicated to the model.

It is a thin device, which does not reach 9 mm and that adjusts to the screen size without excesses, so that the frames do not steal too much attention from the user. The rectangle of the Hi10 X is circumscribed at approximately 262 x 167 mm. It is a device manufactured taking advantage of the best construction methods and first-class materials. Therefore, the brand boasts a chassis unibody of aluminum alloy and the lightness of tablet: about 600g.

The concept of the Ubook Pro is based on the Surface devices but still differs in a certain way. Like the normal Ubook, the Pro version consists of a CNC machined aluminum housing with a ” U-stand “, so unlike Surface only a frame that can be folded out as a foot and not an entire panel. The display is in a 3: 2 format and has a diagonal of 12.3 inches with 1920 x 1280 pixels. It is ” fully laminated “, which means that the touch sensors are incorporated directly into the top glass layer, which is why the display should appear particularly clear. The dimensions are 293 x 208 x 9 millimeters without a keyboard and weigh 780 grams. The UBook Pro works without a fan, so it is noiseless and light in operation.

    Hardware

The Chuwi Hi10 X also has an uncompromising performance. Upgraded from the previous Intel Atom Z8350 to the latest Intel’s Gemini Lake N4100 processor, featured 4 cores, 4 threads, and boosts up to 2.4Ghz. Overall performance improved by 100% compared to the previous Atom Z8350. Along with 9th gen UHD Graphics 600 GPU and advanced ULV technology, Hi10 X brings smoother software experience, high-quality 4K media decoding, and decent battery life. Upgraded to 6GB LPDDR4 power-efficient RAM, brings smooth performance whether you’re switching between different programs, opening dozens of Chrome tabs or document files. 128GB storage with up to 128GB SD card expandability meets the needs of storing daily documents, video and audio files.

Apart from its beautiful and elegant appearance, The UBook Pro also has an uncompromising performance. Upgraded from the previous Intel Core M3-6y30 to the latest Intel Core M3-8100Y processor. Overall performance improved by more than 50%, the processor has Intel’s most advanced 14nm+ manufacturing process, dual-core, four threads, the highest frequency reaches up to 3.4 GHz, easily deal with daily office work, and even some moderate Adobe works. With Intel UHD Graphics 615, 4K video can be easily hard decoded. It also provides a good experience in video editing and even heavy games.

    Features

We arrive at the last section of which we will review the qualities of the CHUWI Hi10 X tablet. In Hi10 X, we find the typical dual-camera game. One for each side of the device. The front camera is 2 MP, enough for video conferencing, while the rear camera goes up to 5 MP. The tablet stands out its pair of ports USB of type C. They are accompanied by a Micro HD output and headphone input. It also includes as we saw before a card slot. The wireless connectivity Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, dual-band at 2.5 GHz and 5 GHz, and Bluetooth.

The stylus has a rod thickness of 2 mm, which allows them to make very thin lines. This gives freedom to draw and design, which you can do right on the tablet screen. Thanks to the highest sensitivity of the stylus the user has the feeling that he is drawing with a real pencil. Continuity of the creative process is provid by a powerful 37W battery, which allows you to use the UBook Pro as a portable work tool. UBook Pro comes with so many I/O ports: 2* USB-A, 1* USB-C, 1*Micro HDMI, 1*3.5 mm headphone jack, and also a DC power supply jack, Docking contactor in the bottom, and a TF card reader.
