Chuwi is one of the most active brands in the notebook market. The company already launched its new models, the Chuwi MiniBook and CHUWI LapBook Plus, the Chuwi MiniBook is an ultra-tiny laptop (or UMPC) which measures just 1/4 the size of a traditional notebook – even with its fully integrated keyboard. The unique 360° flipping YOGA design allows MiniBook to be transformed into laptop, workstation or tablet with a simple twist, and The CHUWI LapBook Plus 15.6 inch is a perfect Notebook for your daily use. Equipped with a 15.6 inch 3840*2160 4K FHD display, brings your photos and videos to life. In this article, we will see What’s the difference between Chuwi MiniBook vs CHUWI LapBook Plus? Let’s check out quickly comparison review of both devices here.

    Design

Chuwi MiniBook has a size of 8 inches, with an IPS panel. The dimension of MiniBook is 201 * 128.6 * 19.3 mm, which is as small as a wallet. It can be put in your pocket like a wallet, that’s why it’s called a pocket notebook. The weight of the machine is only 650g. It is comfortable to hold and easy to carry out. Compared with mobile phones, MiniBook is only a little bigger. Thanks to MiniBook’s tiny size, you can pull it out of your pocket anytime and anywhere for office or creative work. If you forget to carry the mouse with you, don’t worry. MiniBook’s screen supports multi-touch and can also be clicked more accurately and quickly. MiniBook also adopts YOGA design that can be flipped into 360°. The keyboard can also act as a bracket so that MiniBook can be used as a tablet. The 8.0-inch single-handed good-sized screen allows MiniBook to become an e-book in your hand. In addition, MiniBook also comes with multiple I/O ports, which can be extended by external mouse and U disk.

And Chuwi LapBook Plus features a 15.6-inch 4K UHD resolution IPS display, which was previously sold in high-end notebooks at $2,000. The advantages brought by a 4K screen are obvious. Regardless of watching videos, browsing the web or playing games, the clearer the better. The 100% sRGB color gamut brings outstanding viewing experience for its excellent shade reproducing ability. The HDR dynamic range not only produces high brightness levels but also creates large contrast ratios. Despite the impressive dimensions by the ultrabook standards, the portable PC weighs 1.52 kilograms and the smallest thickness of its case is only 6 mm. The laptop is equipped with a full-size keyboard with a digital unit and backlight. For the autonomy of new items meets the built-in battery capacity of 36.5 watts/hour.

    Hardware

Chuwi MiniBook is also carried with Core 8th Gen M3-8100Y processor. Coupled with 8GB+128GB+M.2 PCI-e SSD storage, it becomes the most powerful pocket notebook and performs as well as those large-size laptops. As you can see from the video, Chuwi MiniBook runs very smoothly on editing Photoshop and loading documents/pictures. And it performs extremely well in running those games like “Asphalt: Heat” and “Modern Combat 5: Blackout”. Thanks to the YOGA form, it is possible to play the game by touching on the screen.

And Chuwi LapBook Plus packs a more cost-effective Intel® Apollo Lake processor, four-core four-threads with 2.0GHz turbo boost. This processor is mainly used in industrial fields such as NAS and small servers for its stable performance. The built-in HD Graphics 505 coming with 18 execution units clock up to 500MHz can easily decode 4K video and bring more than 2X faster performance than its previous generation. Chuwi LapBook Plus features dual SSD combination of 256GB SSD and M.2 SSD expansion slot, which can be upgraded to terabytes of storage space, fully covering the requirements for watching 4K videos.

    Features

Chuwi Minibook will be sold in two variants, with internal storage space of 64 or 128 GB, and along the body, there will be a USB Type-C port, while internally an M.2 port will be available for the connection of a possible unit of additional storage. You can also see a full-size USB 3.0 port, a microSD reader and a 3.5 mm port for connecting earphones or external microphones. There will also be a mini-HDMI, at least based on the photos we have.

And Regarding connectivity, this laptop comes with Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi that allows us to connect to 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks through the 802.11ac / b / g / n protocol. We can also highlight two USB ports (one of the 2.0 and another 3.0), a mini-jack output for headphones and a micro-HDMI video output. In addition, the keyboard of this Chuwi notebook is backlit.
