DJI has officially released its new drone product, DJI Air 2S, which has dropped the Mavic from its name to make it simpler.
The DJI Air 2S is equipped with a 1-inch image sensor, an impressive 2.4um pixel, and robust 5.4K/30fps and 4K/60fps video capturing capability.
It supports 10 bit DLOG-M mode and can record up to 1 billion colors, while retaining more light and dark details. At the same time it can take up to 12.6 dynamic range RAW format photos.
UAVs flying at high altitude often encounter scenes with great difference in light and shade, and films are easy to be overexposed or underexposed. In this regard, the DJI AIR 2S adds intelligent HDR stack technology, which can fuse multiple consecutive photos, significantly improving the dynamic range of straight out images, and can take striking light and shadow even without post-processing.
Creative shooting has also evolved, including time-lapse photography, wide Angle, 180° panorama and spherical panorama. It has also been upgraded to focus 2.0, intelligent follow 4.0 and point of interest surround 3.0, making following safer.
The DJI Air 2S builds on the previous generation of the next, front, and rear three-way obstacle avoidance, adding the top view obstacle avoidance. It also has a built-in ADS-B receiver. When there is a manned aircraft in the nearby airspace, it can automatically prompt to avoid confrontation and protect the flight safety.
In terms of image transmission, 4 dual-band antennas are adopted, with an adaptive 2.4g /5.8GHz. The maximum distance of image transmission is increased from 10km to 12km, and the definition of image transmission can reach 1080P.
It still has a foldable design, has increased its weight to 595g from the 470g of the DJI Mavic Air 2, and its battery life has dropped to 31 minutes from 34 minutes.
