Honor and Huawei officially parted on Nov. 17 last year. Subsequently, Zhao Ming unleashed Honor’s new position: to build a global iconic technology brand.
In the gradual retreat of Huawei, increasingly fierce competition at the moment, the Honor Magic series and digital series become the focus of attention. And recently, foreign media first broke the fierce material – Honor new generation digital series will be named Honor 50, using the same P50 double ring design, scheduled to be released in May.
From the exposure sketch, both the Honor 50 and the P50 rear lens modules use the upper and lower double rings design, but if the careful comparison, the author is more inclined to the Honor 50 which uses the Huawei P50 design upgraded version. First of all, the upper and lower double rings of P50 are equipped with two lenses, which will bring people a sense of intense fear, while the upper ring of Honor 50 is equipped with the main lens and the lower ring with two auxiliary cameras. The three lenses form a triangular shape, giving people a sense of stability.
At the same time, the main camera lens of the Honor 50 also adopts a new design similar to the Cartier ring, which did not appear in the previous P50 rendering exposed on the network. It can be said that the Honor 50 is an upgrade on the P50 design, which is beyond the blue.
Friends familiar with the mobile phone industry know that with the entry of smart phones into the era of comprehensive screen, the ID design of mobile phones has entered the lens module layout competition, and Honor and Huawei have always been the pioneer and vane of lens module design. Both the bionic dual-camera lens of the Honor 6 Plus, the matrix lens of the Honor V30 and the exclamation point lens module of the Huawei P series became the popular trend of that year. Now that Huawei has withdrawn, Honor can be said to take over Huawei’s design genes in a comprehensive way, and at the same time further integrate its own understanding of fashion to achieve a further upgrade of lens design.
The appearance of the Honor 50 Cartier lens has another surprise for fans. Looking at the design history of Honor mobile phone, there are many precedents of cooperation with fashion popular logo, such as the cooperation between Honor Watch and VVT, Honor V20 and Moschino, Honor 20 and AAPE, etc. Does the appearance of Cartier camera in this design drawing mean that Honor 50 is likely to have a deeper cooperation with Cartier?
But whatever the truth, the Honor 50’s Cartier lens is in line with the design philosophy of the Honor Digital line that always pursues a stylish look, and it’s no surprise that the Honor 50’s ring design is also likely to become a trend vane for smartphone appearance ID in 2021.
