    Background

Having your iPhone stuck on Apple logo when updating it to iOS 15 is a relatively common problem. The iPhone can therefore not reset itself to restart or continue with the installation. The only way you can get out of this sticky situation is by somehow forcing the iPhone to restart. The following are some ways you can get yourself out of this jam.

The Common Scenarios of iOS 15 Update Stuck On Apple Logo.

There are several possible scenarios where the device can stall at the Apple logo when updating iOS 15.

    • The iOS 15 version you are trying to update has bugs
    • The backup has failed
    • There was an attempt to jailbreak the gadget in the recent past
    • Data has recently been transferred from another device to yours.
    1. Force Restart

This is the easiest and the fastest method of reset the phone. You can force restart the phone through the following steps.

    • If the model of your gadget doesn’t have the ‘Home’ button, you should press the volume button up quickly and then press the down button quickly. After pressing the volume button thus, push the power button hard until the gadget restarts.
    • If your gadget is an iPhone8 and above, this is how you force restart. Press the volume button up and release it quickly and then press the volume button down and release it quickly. Long press the side button and keep holding the button until the Apple logo appears.
    • If you are using the iPhone 7, the seventh-generation iPod touch, or iPhone 7 (plus), you should press the power button whether it appears on top or side of the gadget. Press it together with the ‘Volume Down’ key until the phone goes off with the indication of an Apple logo.
    • Gadgets with the home button, including the 6thgeneration of iPod and iPad 6s and earlier versions, hold down both the Home button and the Power button (top or side) until the Apple logo appears as the gadget goes off.

    2. Use Tenorshare ReiBoot

This is arguably the best way to deal with this problem because it doesn’t cause data loss. Tenorshare ReiBoot is a third-party, professional-quality application that repairs your iOS system. Using this repair software helps you reset your gadget because sometimes iPhone frozen on Apple logo is caused by damaged iOS. Tenorshare ReiBoot has two repair modes; Standard repair and Deep repair.

Please follow these steps to fix the iOS 15 update stuck on the Apple logo.

Step 1: Download & Install Tenorshare ReiBoot on your PC or Mac

After installation, run the program on your computer and connect your iPhone or iPod to the computer using Apple’s genuine lighting USB cable. Wait until the device is recognized and press ‘Start’ to commence the recovery process.

If the device you seek to repair isn’t detected, the software will enter it into Recovery Mode before proceeding. The software should be able to detect it in recovery mode. If it is still impossible to see it in Recovery Mode, put it in DFU mode.

    Step 2:  Select ‘Standard Repair’

On the window that appears, select ‘Standard Repair.’  A list of things to do for best results appears at the bottom of the window; read them before starting the repairs. If you meet the requirements for best results, click the blue ‘Standard Repair’ on the window.

Step 3: Download the Firmware Program

The window from which you should download the firmware package appears; click the ‘Download’ bar. The window gives you a link labeled ‘click here to download the firmware if the first option fails.

     Step 4: Start Repair

You will know that the firmware is fully installed when you see the prompt ‘The firmware package is ready.’

Click ‘Start Standard Repair.’ You will see a progress bar and a prompt that standard repair is in progress.

The device will restart automatically after completing the repair and leave your data intact.

    • Restore the Device with iTunes

This method requires you to put your Apple device in recovery mode. Like with other features in Apple gadgets, you set Recovery Mode differently for different series of devices. Open iTunes after setting the recovery mode and wait for iTunes to prompt you that your gadget is in recovery mode and that it needs to be restored.

The prompt for restoration comes in the form of a ‘Restore and Update’ bar. Once you click the bar, iTunes will download the software to return the gadget to factory settings and restore it. This will fix the device. It is important to note that this option can lead to data loss since the process will restore the phone to factory setting. It is, therefore, vital for you to back your data up before you start the process of restoration.

    1. DFU Mode Restoration

You need to back up your data before using this method because your device will lose all of it. The following are the steps to follow when restoring your gadget using DFU Mode.

    1. Connect your gadget to your iPhone. Go to your device, open iTunes, and press the Home button and the Sleep button simultaneously for at least ten seconds until the screen turns black.
    2. After the screen of your gadget turns black, release the sleep button. Keep holding the home button. iTunes will send you a prompt confirming that your device is now in recovery mode. The screen will turn entirely black, at which point the gadget is in DFU mode and restored.

    Final Words

This article gives you various options for reset an iPhone or iPad stuck on the Apple logo when updating iOS15. You pick the most appropriate one under the circumstances. Using Tenorshare ReiBoot is the best method for the recovery of your device. It is easy to use, and your iPad or iPhone will be restored with all your data intact.
