The many patents filed by Huawei sometimes allow us to discover a preview of the smartphone design that the Chinese giant is planning to launch and one filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in March 2019 could concern Huawei Mate 50.
The documentation relating to this patent was published on July 15, 2021, and allows us to observe the design of a smartphone with a very rounded screen (called an “arc display”).
Just a quick look at the following image to notice the great peculiarity of this device, represented by a screen that continues on the sides (where it will be possible to take advantage of the virtual keys):
While this feature is also available on newer Huawei Mate smartphones, it will undoubtedly work better with the new design, as the screen continues to scroll, which also allows you to expand the virtual button area, so that the user can select them more easily.
The Let’s Go Digital staff, in collaboration with the graphic designer Technizo Concept, created the following rendering images, imagining how Huawei Mate 50 could be if the Chinese giant decides to bet on this patent. This is not the first time that it is assumed that the Chinese manufacturer may decide to focus on a solution of this type.
A camera is not visible from the front and this suggests that Huawei may have thought about adopting an integrated sensor under the display, so as to make the overall appearance of the smartphone more modern and captivating. As for the back, since the patent does not provide indications, the designer has decided to take inspiration from the Huawei P50.
At the moment there is no certain information on the presentation date of Huawei Mate 50 and there are many to believe that it will probably be patient until next year.
