Lenovo has updated its portfolio of attractive laptops with the premiere of the ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 i. The new representative of the popular series offers distinctive designs and various configuration options. However, the greatest attention Lenovo ThinkPad 15 Gen 2 i causes with a unique feature that we have not seen before in a laptop.
The device will be available to users with integrated wireless headphones, which are also in a special slot in the body of the ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 i. This pair of headphones has not really impressive parameters, at least in terms of battery life, when it can only “stay” for about 2 hours. Fortunately, the charging of the headphones starts automatically, when you place them in the designated space.
Removing them from the slot will connect them to the laptop’s audio system via Bluetooth connectivity. Double-clicking on the outside of the headset will mute the sound, which is suitable for video calls. This headset is also equipped with dual microphones to support environmental noise reduction.
Moreover, the high performance of the Lenovo ThinkPad 15 Gen 2 i will be guaranteed by an Intel Core i7 processor of the 11th generation or AMD Ryzen 4000 Series. 
The most powerful versions have 40GB of RAM, but also 1TB SSD or 2TB HDDs. Video card selection options are connected to the latest generation NVIDIA GeForce MX450 or AMD Radeon GPU. The battery can provide up to 8 hours of operation on a single charge.
Similar to the ThinkBook 15 gen 2 i, this headphone tray will also appear on the ThinkPad E15 gen 2, also recently released by Lenovo. It is reported that the ThinkBook 15 2021 Ryzen Edition sold in China, which does not adopt this design, while the new ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 i will be listed in mid-October of this year.
