LG G7: Looking At the Rumors, The Next Android Should Be Like This

Last week the appearance of the LG G7 was leaked, which was shown by the company behind closed doors at the MWC along with new devices such as another mobile and smartwatches. In it, we could know much of the specifications, but the quality of what was seen was very low. Now, new renders already allow us to see the mobile in great detail.

And, although the phone had the label of LG G7 (with Neo in parentheses, codename), the phone will not finally have that name apparently. Internally, Judy is also being called. The company plans to rebrand its high-end series in an attempt to increase sales that do not end up satisfying the manufacturer despite offering good devices.

The physical appearance of the new LG flagship is very similar to that of the iPhone X, and according to Evan Blass, members of the company are complaining about this similarity. The front occupies practically the entire screen, and has a ” notch ” at the top; Of course, with a size that occupies almost half that of the iPhone X.

These renders created by Ben Geskin allow to see what LG’s mobile will look like based on the images leaked by the Israeli media Ynet. In the front we see the screen that occupies the front of the mobile in its entirety except for a small strip on the bottom of the device. In the notch, the front camera and the brightness, proximity and notification LEDs are incorporated.

The notch will be more present than we would like in Android

The time would be on the left of the notification bar, while on the right would be the coverage and the percentage of battery as before. It will be interesting to see how many notification icons will fit, but usually these are often deleted so the lack of space should not be a problem. Android P will natively support this type of “notch” , so it will not be the last mobile to include it.

Behind we found a rear camera that happens to be in vertical; a wide angle and another with a normal zoom as it has been equipping the company in their phones from the LG G5, and both with 16 MP (wide angle f / 1.9 and the main f / 1.6). The fingerprint reader stays in the back, in addition to maintaining the autofocus by laser.

The rest of the specifications of the mobile are known by the Ynet filtering, with a 6-inch screen with resolution 3120 x 1440 pixels in addition to an 18: 9 or even 19: 9 format. It is curious that LG has opted for the notch on a screen that in principle is LCD , when to make the form of the notch was necessary OLED . The new screen will be LCD M + Display , with a matrix that will incorporate an “extra” white pixel to improve the color of the screen.

The processor will be a Snapdragon 845, and will have up to two versions of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage and another of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The battery will remain at 3,000 mAh. As for the release date and the price of the LG G7, the company has not announced anything but it is expected that the terminal will be presented this spring.
