Igeekphone News, October 27th: smartprix, a foreign media outlet, reported today that it has obtained information from an industry insider that OnePlus is developing a high-performance smartphone specifically designed for gamers.
It is reported that the internal code name of this device is “Macan”, and it is expected to be launched under the market name “OnePlus Turbo”. It is likely to become the first mobile phone to be equipped with the unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
To support this chip, it is reported that the phone will be equipped with a “Glacier cooling system” to manage temperature during long gaming sessions.

In terms of the display screen, it is reported that the new device is rumored to be equipped with an OLED panel of approximately 6.7 inches, 1.5K resolution, and a refresh rate of 165Hz. The report also said that the new device will be equipped with an 8000mAh battery and 100W fast charging technology.
In terms of imaging, the configuration of the OnePlus Turbo is relatively conservative. It is expected to be equipped with a dual-camera system at the back. The main camera is 50MP, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and the front camera may be a 32MP sensor.
Other configurations of the new device include an X-axis linear motor, stereo speakers, NFC and under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint recognition.
Sources revealed that the device has been undergoing active testing in India. If the testing phase proceeds as planned, the OnePlus Turbo is expected to be officially released within the next two months.
Igeekphone has noticed that blogger @Smart Pikachu disclosed in September this year that REDMI and OnePlus are “going to compete again”, both set to release new Turbo series phones, featuring the first two mid-range chips, Dimensity and Snapdragon. Both new models will be priced at 2,000 yuan. It features a 1.5K medium to large screen, a metal frame and an extra-large battery.
