Insiders have revealed information about the upcoming smartphone OnePlus 7. This flagship will cost more than all previous models OnePlus. The owner of the twitter account @OnLeaks has published the OnePlus 7 press renders.
Judging by the pictures, this smartphone will have a screen with minimal frames, a sliding front-facing camera and the main camera with three modules. The fingerprint scanner is not visible, from which it can be concluded that it is not there, but it is even more likely that it is built into the screen (as is the case with the OnePlus 6T).
More detailed information about the OnePlus 7 appeared in the online store Giztop. Judging by this leak, the smartphone is equipped with a 6.5-inch screen, an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 640 graphics, a camera with 48MP, 20MP and 5MP, a 16MP front camera and a 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging 44 W through the UBS Type-C port.
The operating system uses Oxygen OS 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie. The smartphone will be released in 2 versions: with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and also with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Obviously, the second option will cost even more. The mass of the smartphone will be 185 grams, and the dimensions are 161.3 × 76.1 × 8.8 mm.
Also, we know that the company plans to release a special version of the flagship 2019 – with 5G support. It will cost about $50 more than the standard modification, that is, more than $600.
According to rumors, the OnePlus 7 will use a camera equipped with a tenfold optical zoom. This technology was developed by Oppo (it is known that both brands – OnePlus and Oppo – belong to the same holding – BBK). As for the front camera, it will have a sliding mechanism. Most of the time, it is recessed into the case and is not visible, but the user can push it at those moments when you need to take a selfie or start video chatting. A similar solution is already used in some smartphones, for example, Vivo Nex.
The OnePlus brand pursues a systematic price increase policy: its first OnePlus One smartphone cost $299 (which, for the most part, was famous), the OnePlus 6T released in 2018 was already selling for $549, and the cost of OnePlus 7 would be $569. However, it is possible that the manufacturer will conduct sales or reduce the price of the new flagship sometime after its release.
The presentation of OnePlus 7 may take place in April or May 2019 at a special event in several countries around the world. Then we will find out how reliable these leaks are and whether these insiders can be trusted in the future.
