After the rumors related to the technical specifications, we return to talk about OnePlus 8 due to the appearance of an alleged “official” render, which apparently was to be reserved for the press.
The press photo was published by OnLeaks, a well-known telecom insider whose rumors are usually correct. Last October, this smartphone speaker first showed what the non-Pro version will look like. In the meantime, OnePlus has worked little on the design, if the render is correct.
As you can see in the image below, the smartphone remains basically the same as the leaks from last year have already shown. This design almost identical to the OnePlus 7T Pro, which in turn already had the same design as the predecessor OnePlus 7 Pro.
Leaving the OnePlus 7T drop-shaped notch aside. Its successor will bet on a circular-shaped notch to house the single front camera in the upper left corner of the screen, without offering an uninterrupted display.
As for the Hardware
The leaks reinforce that the OnePlus 8 should offer a 6.55-inch screen with Full HD + resolution of Fluid AMOLED technology with a 90 Hz refresh rate. In addition to a Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G connectivity and three rear cameras with the main sensor of 48MP. A wide-angle lens for the sensor of 16MP and a macro lens for the sensor of 2MP.
The model is expected to offer a 4300mAh battery with a 30W fast charge. And its models with 8GB and 12GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. To hear the latest rumors, it seems confirmed the absence of an IP certification against dust and liquids. That OnePlus has been dodging for years despite customers’ requests.
For the rest, it is still too early to talk about prices and availability. Today’s indiscretion, however, confirms that the launch is quite close. In any case, the OnePlus 8 smartphone range is expected to be presented between April and May 2020. We’ll see.
