Yesterday we were talking about the possible launch date of the OnePlus 8T. And it is that according to the latest leaks, the terminal would arrive in stores on October 14. Without yet having confirmation on its date from the company, what we do know is that the firm has officially announced the existence of this terminal, with the name ‘OnePlus 8T 5G’.
On its Twitter account for India, the brand posted a message indicating that the OnePlus 8T 5G will be launched very soon. A page has also been created by the brand so that Internet users can be notified and at the same time have the chance to win a reward. For the moment, no date is mentioned. The webpage also includes a teaser ad for this model starring OnePlus brand ambassador Robert Downey Jr.
In any case, the teasing of OnePlus, which only mentions the OnePlus 8T 5G, tends to corroborate some rumors according to which the brand would only offer one model, the OnePlus 8T, instead of offering an OnePlus 8T and an 8T Pro. Rumors concerning the technical sheet of the 8T are also circulating on the web.
One of the main improvements would be the processor. This is because the OnePlus 8T is said to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ processor, which is an improved version of the processor used by the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. The device would have a 6.65-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, while the OnePlus 8 was content with a rate of 90 Hz. The higher this rate, the smoother the animations.
OnePlus would also have planned improvements for the cameras. Indeed, the OnePlus 8T would be equipped with a 48MP sensor more powerful than that of its predecessor. In addition, there would be four cameras on the back, in addition to the 48MP main camera, there would be a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 5MP macro, and a 2MP sensor for depth.
Of course, for the moment, this information is not yet official. But what is certain is that OnePlus will have to offer improvements (albeit minor) over the models launched in the first half of the year. The design, meanwhile, shouldn’t change.
