Recent leaks have revealed that Oppo’s next R series phones will be called Oppo R15. However, previous reports had claimed that the company would be launching R13 and R13 Plus as successors of their Oppo R11 and R11 Plus. It could be because the number 13 is considered as bad omen in many countries, the company might have chosen the R15 moniker. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has officially teased on Weibo that it next R series phones are Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Dream Mirror.
As it can be seen in the above teaser, the Oppo R15 has an appearance that is quite similar to the iPhone X. However, one noticeable difference is that it features a smaller notch compared to the iPhone X. The selfie camera, earpiece and a sensor are placed inside the notch. The bottom bezel is slightly thick, but the side bezels are quite slim. The notch enabled full screen design has been dubbed as Super View Full Screen by the company.
The leaked photos of the OPPO R15 had revealed that tit would be coming in different color options like Black, Pink and Purple. Its rear panel will be featuring dual rear cameras and a fingerprint scanner. The Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror have reportedly received 3C certification in China. It is speculated that it would be fueled by the upcoming Snapdragon 670 chipset. As of this writing, there is no information on the launch date of Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror.
