OPPO recently confirmed that it will hold a new launch event on August 23 in Shanghai to announce the OPPO R17 and R17 Pro. Recently OPPO has posted information and prices on the official website. Specifically, the OPPO R17 is priced at 3499 yuan (about $509), which is equivalent to the starting price of the black ceramic version R15 Pro.
In addition to Opposhop.cn, R17 is also listed on JD.com, Lynx, and Suning. This smartphone can be sold in two color versions: Streamer Blue and Neon Purple. The retailers will give users pre-order OPPO R17 on August 23, and the machine will be delivered as well as officially launched on August 30.
In terms of configuration, the OPPO R17 has a 6.4 “AMOLED screen with water droplet design, support for FHD + resolution, a screen aspect ratio of 91.5% compared to the front panel. The back of the machine is made of glass, measuring 3 inches of the body is 157.5 x 74.9 x 7.5 mm and weighs 182 grams.
The OPPO R17 comes with a Snapdragon 670 processor with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal memory (with a microSD slot) and 3500mAh battery capacity which supports fast charging VOOC via USB-C port. The camera has a dual camera after 16MP + 5MP, and the selfie camera is 25MP. Out of the box, the smartphone is running Android 8.1 Oreo with a ColorOS 5.2 shell.
OPPO R17 Pro is not available on the company’s website, but it is said that the camera will have three cameras and a 3D sensor to unlock the face. Let’s wait patiently until August 23 for exact information about this product.
